a Community of ArtOur goal at Hammond is to build a community where Art has a broader definition and is as inclusive as possible. We meet just about every Thursday 2:15-3:45 and have several after school events to promote the Arts. We have combined The National Art Honor Society with our Art Club to make sure each student has a voice and a place to express themselves.
Among those are our version of a coffee house- the blend where student artwork is proudly displayed and where student, staff and parents perform (music, spoken word, dance, skits, etc.). We also sponsor fund raisers to support local charities such as Empty Bowls for Grassroots Crisis Intervention. |
